Vrijwilligerswerk in Zuid Afrika
Als je geïnteresseerd bent om je in te zetten voor de lokale bevolking in Zuid Afrika, biedt vrijwilligerswerk je de unieke mogelijkheid om dit te doen. Er is een grote verscheidenheid vrijwilligersprojecten en –organisaties in Zuid Afrika die altijd op zoek zijn naar mensen die hun handen uit de mouwen willen steken. Doorgaans zul je vrijwilligen in achtergestelde communities of werken in wildlife en conservatie projecten. Onderstaand staan websites van organisaties aangegeven die vrijwilligers aannemen.

Requirement: | •Being sportminded; •Being found of interacting with township children between 7 and 14 years old; •Being motivated to help with this unique project; •Being adventurous enough to live and work in South Africa for at least 1 month. -Candidates must be over 18 years of age. -No need to be a proffesional volleybal player. |
Description: | The costs are Euro 950 per 4 weeks. These total costs include: -Project information/support provided beforehand; -Good organization of the volunteer project in South-Africa; -Reliable, personal and enthusiastic support at the location; -You are taken from and to Cape Town Airport; -Pleasant accommodation in a volunteer house in a good neighbourhood of Cape Town; -All project-related transport; -3 meals a day for the duration of the project; -Evaluation after the end of your stay. Excluding: flight to Cape Town, South Africa Insurance Vaccinations Personal expenses such as trips during the weekends, gifts, restaurant etc. |
Other Information: | The main objective of this project: - offer girls and boys a chance to play volleyball on a (higher) level; -establish a network (=volleyball league) between 4 Primary School in Cape Town and Houtbay; and -teach local coaches to keep the project going. The 4 township schools have already been identified and the project has the support of our local project coordinator, the Department of Cultural Affairs and Sports, Western Cape and of course the Primary schools themselves and it’s children. The Teachers for Africa Foundation consists entirely of volunteers. It is a not-for-profit organization. Our volunteer projects are by definition small-scale, which makes a personal approach by the volunteer during the project both possible and advisable. By participating in one of our various educational volunteer projects, you support our various sponsor projects both directly and indirectly.
